Purpose of the service

This is a private reference service, not a government records system. It keeps no official records and cannot verify current custody, release a person, post bond, or file paperwork with an agency.

The service points toward county jail and records resources, court and corrections pathways, and independent research tools. A visitor is responsible for checking the terms of any external service used.

Responsible use

Visitors must use the service lawfully and respectfully.

• Do not violate a law while using the service.
• Do not use information to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone.
• Do not use material to make hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions.
• Do not seek unauthorized access to the service or its systems.
• Do not operate bots, scrapers, or similar automated collection tools.
• Do not interfere with another person’s ability to use the service.

FCRA limitations

Chippewa County Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and does not supply background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports. Advertising partners do not supply screening services through this site. By using it, a visitor agrees not to use information for an FCRA-covered purpose.

• Hiring, firing, or other employment actions.
• Tenant or housing screening.
• Creditworthiness decisions or insurance premium decisions.
• Licensing, permitting, or government-program eligibility decisions.
• Any other purpose governed by FCRA rules.

External services

Links may lead to jail rosters, booking and records resources, Sheriff or corrections pages, government portals, legal-aid information, and independent search services. These links do not endorse or control outside content, data practices, or availability. Review the external service’s own terms before using it.

Service provided as is

The service is provided “as is” and without warranties. It does not promise any of the following.

• That information is accurate, complete, or current.
• That access will be uninterrupted.
• That the service is free of errors, bugs, or security weaknesses.
• That a partner’s search result is thorough or complete.

Custody status and public records can change quickly. Nothing here is an official statement by the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office or another government agency.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Chippewa County Busted Mugshots is not liable for damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the service or an external link.

Indemnity

A visitor agrees to defend and hold Chippewa County Busted Mugshots harmless from claims, losses, or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from that visitor’s use of the service or violation of these terms.

Ownership of material
